That's right. ole' Seqenenre was indeed killed with a battle-axe, most likely while fighting the Hyksos.
His body was not mummified right away either, and is sort of, err, decomposed.
I was going to post a picture of it here but it is just too nasty, even for a mummy.
Ayesha- Seqenenre was found in the DB320 cache with a bunch of other (mostly royal New Kingdom) mummies. One corpse found there, known only as 'Unknown Man E' was evidently buried alive with his hands and feet bound, sewn into a sheepskin (which, according to Herodotus, was ritually unclean) and had apparently had his...err... let's just say a certain part of his anatomy removed before he died. That may be the guy you are thinking of, but nobody knows for sure why Unknown Man E was treated to this rather unique form of burial... he sure must have ticked somebody off though!
I won't post his picture either... his body is almost as grisly as Seqenenre's, and appears to be frozen right in the middle of a hideous scream.
Ramose, I hope you have a less morbid question!
