Name: Antonia Valeriana
Age: 22
Sex: Female
Class: Patrician
Marital Status: Widowed...
Daughter of Marcus Antonius Valerianus a distant relative of the Caius Valerius Flaccus – who died following his and Aeneas Iulius Romulus's victory over the Trojan forces of Quintus Flaminius Tullius – and who was adopted by an eccentric cob-web covered old Antonian uncle.
Antonia Valeriana at a young age was married to Marcus Philippus (known in among Impolite Society as ‘Fatty Fatty Philippus’) but was quickly widowed as her husband fell in the rebellion of the false Ptolemy in Egypt. The death of her husband left her alone as both her mother and father died while she was a teenager.
Antonia has spent much of her short adult life living away from Rome and has only just arrived back in Italy from Alexandria.
In her formative years,
Antonia has always appeared a shy and retiring young lady, in part due to the overbearing and insensitive nature of her corpulent spouse, who was not averse to finding pleasure in the pain of others (*whatever that might mean!*), and who had an especial fondness for his coterie of exotic young cupids (*nudge nudge wink wink, say no more, say no more*); his “sudden” death, however, has forced her to come out of her shell more and it is a more ambitious Antonia Valeriana who has returned to Rome, determined to make a name for herself by any means necessary but also to enjoy her new found freedom.
