As Kiki was escorted out, the investigator turned to John, having a long pull on his cigarette.

"You are our prime suspect after what you did the other night."

"Yes." John kept his calm.

"So the inevitable question... where were you in the early morning hours?"

"In my suite. Drinking." His eyes fell to the floor, almost guiltily.

"With a girl?" The investigator sneered.

"No. Alone."

"Ah. The rock solid alibi, I see." He got up from leaning on the wall to stand closer to his victim.

"I didn't do it, if that's what you're implying." The investigator took note that John was gritting his teeth.

"I will only ask you once more... where were you last night?" He got up up close, breathing his putrid breath from years of smoke into John's face.

"I didn't do it." He getting visibly angry now.
