    I, for one, have never been able to truly write with someone else... it's far too personal for me, and even letting someone read it can screw up my writing for me. I write best when I can pretend that the only people involved are me and my characters.

    However, I do find it helpful to have a fellow writer who I can talk with when I need advice or even just support. Non-writers never seem to understand.
