    Thanks Kornosh. I would wager however that genetically the people of Bulgaria is more the Greek and that of the peoples of Anatolia than even slavic? If we are talking genetics that is.

    The reason I say that is I suspect that the slavs that invaded the Byzantium Empire in the 600s were a ruling class over a mix of the peoples there before them. My guess would be that they were outnumber and as they 2 groups mixed and had children that the slavic would be combined with the larger group dominating over it (genetically).

    I am not gotten deep into genetics to know if this is true, but more my gut feeling. If you have input to that or a different idea I would like to hear that.
