Remember this computer game from the 90's? One of my favorites and one of the best computer military wargames. It is a top-down, hex based, IGOUGO turn based wargame. This version has built upon the most stable game engine which was found in Steel Panthers III and applied to the scale of Steel Panthers I. Resulting in 50 yard hexes, individual vehicles and arty tubes and infantry squads as the basic maneuver elements. Time based turns and campaign game options are included in the game.

Steel Panthers: World at War v8.30 is free for those brave enough to download it! Brave? Yeah, the base program v8.2 is 424 Mb! and the v8.30 upgrade is another 4 Mb. If you have a dail-up, start up the full campaign game of Europa Universalis! ;)
