Another aim of this project is to motivate a "serious" debate with sprinkles of fun between us. That is why this post.

I wanted to specify on a topic Anarane pointed in her essay about Mandos and the size of the place, being so far away from the center of Valinor (Taniquetil) where the big stuff takes place.

As Anarane correctly points out, Mandos was a haven for some races and a stop before continuing their journey for Mankind. Due to demographic and constant increases of the population of the Children of Eru and those of Aüle, Mandos was due to expand, especially in periods of war, hunger and sickness.

We also know, as Anarane again points out, that Elves could re-enter Arda, if their souls were healed (and BTW only if their soulmate alias husband/wife had not remarried. See the case of Míriel). That Chamber therefore could decrease. The same thing could happen to the Chamber of Men as they continued their journey far away to the Outer Seas.
