George Howell picked up his morning paper but upon seeing the ever growing group, decided that might be more interesting. He grabbed his pipe and wheeled over to them.
"Mind if I join?" He was conscientious of some of the stares he received because of his bandaged head. "What are we playing? Cribbage? Can't say it's one of my best games. I used to be quite a poker shark in my day. How do you think I became so rich?" He laughed awkwardly around his pipe, ribbing the person next to him.
"I thought you were in the railroad industry?" Someone dared to venture.
The old man looked up sharply before slapping his knee. Loudly. "Huh? Well, yea, that too." He looked down what was left of his chin to observe his cards carefully, as if they were specimens worthy of his study.
