She listened to his words in earnest, but for some reason she couldn't fully digest them. A cold winter breeze swept through, sending goosebumps throughout. The wind rustled what was left of the crackled leaves, making music no human could replicate. Porcia opened her eyes up fully as she caught his blue eyes full of mirth for a second before he averted them shyly. The boyish grin she had so loved when they were yet teenagers. A deep blush forming on his cheeks and ears. She was so overcome with him she was temporarily numbed, hollowed out thoroughly like an empty vessel. A small, sharp intake of breath, then:
"Yes, let's go back."
She started back, not entirely aware of her surroundings until she arrived at an empty table. Either everyone had gone their seperate ways or Mr. Howell convinced them to go somewhere without her. Not that she entirely minded; in fact, she preferred him gone so he wouldn't ruin her warm mood now.
