I watch the brave little warriors with great amusement from my lofty perch high above the sea. Each of them shows amazing courage as they enter my kingdom.

I save the young sea-wolf from drowning by dispatching one of my servants to toss him high into the air. When he lands, he will be able to ride the rest of the way to my island if he can hold on!

When the innocent but fiery woman takes the reins of my abandoned chariot, I laugh and flap my wings with glee. Such boldness, such spirit! It's a good thing my favorite steed, Enbarr, is in the harness. I give a sharp whistle, telling the sea-foam charger to take the chariot and rider back to our home - and swiftly!

Looking down, I see another horse pawing the waves, a mortal animal whose devotion to its human companion is almost divine. A great golden heart pounds in its chest. But it may not have the strength to swim much longer despite its limitless devotion. I call to my minions of the sea and command them to whip up the winds, just enough to gently pick up the horse and rider, and carry them with no further exertions of their own to my island's shore.

I hear a cry! It is one of the warrior-poets, calling my name. He throws out his arms, battling the waves in a fight that he knows he cannot win. Yet he trusts me to save him. And so I will. With a wave of one talon, I dispatch a selkie to sing to him, soothe him, and give him a pleasant dream. When he awakens, he will be with his companions on my isle.

The tribal king and the banfianna! So different yet so alike. From my kingdom of the Land of Eternal Youth, I call out the Brehyrion's father and the Banfianna's husband to help them the rest of the way to the appointed destination.

Now they are all moving safely along their way! I smile, satisfied for now. But I still have a few tricks left in my bag! Riding the wind, I follow them to the Isle of Manannan, a place that is not a place, where everyone will meet for the last leg of this journey.
