    My post was not meant to in any way insult art; I merely meant that propaganda is not necessarily bad. Art is, granted, often created just for the sake of creativity. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't also contain elements of manipulation. I think that often it's not even an intentional effort on the part of the artist; most artists are far from malicious control freaks trying to brainwash everyone. What artists are is people, with opinions and feelings, and thus I think that they're likely to create things that in some way reflect and further the cause of the things that they believe in.
