Leaving Arretium behind him and avoiding to approach to Faesulae, Consul Hibernicus
has arrived at the very small village of Florentia at the Arnus river bridge.
There Hibernicus receives reports from the other two legiones:
Etrurians main camp is no more than 2 miles south-east from Pistoria. It is
a castra like ours, large enough to accomodate about 12,000 men.
They deployed three detachments of about 2,000 men each to control the roads
to the city. Some days ago we spotted troops moving go and forth Collinae
pass.
Even we are sure they placed a garrison in Pistoria, we are unable to tell
is size. Also we are unable to evaluate how many damages the city suffered
during the siege.
Etrurians offered to fight in battle few days ago but we refused, complying to
your orders. Foraging groups engaged in some skirmishing with Etrurians. Current
legiones strenght is:
Legio VIII - 2940 HI - 1176 LI - 294 CAV
Legio XI - 2940 HI - 980 LI - 882 CAV

OOC - Umbro river is a minor river; terrain (in the valley) is rolling mixed.
