is a new fiction book about a modern day book club. The members of the club are friends. Each month the club meeting is held at another house as each member takes a turn at hosting the meeting. I think I started reading the book with a preconceived notion that more discussion would be about Jane Austin, but the lives of the club members are in the forefront - and their lives are trivial, the everyday circumstances in which they find themselves are predictable. The group is politically correct in that it is made up of a member from each social group. They even have a token male member.
