The blood-red murk of the battle rises, shrouding the plains and the seas. Loki eludes me but I will find him. I slash through the chaos, careless of who or what falls before me. The limbs of giants are severed, nothing more than saplings struck down before the storm of my brow. The heads of trolls roll like ripe fruit from the trunks of their staggering bodies. A valkyrie plummets from above, crippled by the back of my hand as I sweep the sky for Loki. I will have vengeance upon the one who devoured my heart!
It is then that the air suddenly clears. I clap my hands to my ears, unable to stand the thrashing metallic scream of the Wolf's chains as they strain and finally break. He is free! Ecstatically I rush towards the torrent of stench, eager to embrace my child, the creature that was born of Loki's loathings and the demonic lust of my own soul's magic. The Fenris Wolf rears up when he sees me, tongue lolling in a frenzy of insatiable hunger.
I pause but for one breath, the breath that catches in my throat as I spy the golden smile of Heimdall flashing even through this putrid haze. He is locked in combat with Loki. Disappointed yet gratified, I let out a sigh, resigning myself to what I know must be. Loki will meet a more fitting fate than to be destroyed by the forces of my age-old fury. And Heimdall's sickening white light of goodness will also see its end today.
Turning away from Heimdall's and Loki's final battle, I fearlessly spread my arms in welcome to the abyssmal jaws of the Fenris Wolf. From ashes I came, to ashes I go, and from ashes I shall rise again. As long as women work sorcery in the world, I, the thrice-burned, live again! I leap up to greet my doom, laughing in the face of the grinning Wolf.
