It is part of the “Battleground Britain” series and features informative text and pictures of contemporary 1066 scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry and pictures of modern-day re-enactments of the battles themselves. The year 1066 is broken down into various topics such as weapons used, leaders involved, and sources used. The battle of Hastings is broken down into various topics such as the battle preparations, what happened during different times of the day, and the aftermath of the battle.
