I'm glad to see this group start up, since I have a strong interest in late Antiquity and the early Dark Ages. As part of that, I have for some time been working on a series for the Byzantium group about the sons of Constantine, which you can find here. I would be glad to repost these on the appropriate thread on this board as well, but I should warn you all about one thing. Although I frequently work in a straight historical mode of writing, sometimes I indulge my more creative side by presenting historical facts from the vantage point of actual historical figures or invented observers -- in other words, in the style of good historical fiction. The following post -- "Constantius II Reflects on His Family" -- is an example of this approach. If this gives anyone hives, because this is considered a historical board and they view my occasional use of a historical-fiction style as too close to role-playing, please let me know.
