    After Pertinax was killed by Praetorians angry at his lack of largesse, Septimius Severus accepted the proclamations of his Pannonian troops as Emperor, and was the founder of the Severian dynasty. Also covered here are the defeated Pertinax, Didius Julianus, Pescennius Niger, and Clodius Albinus. 193 - 211 AD ...

    My guess is it has to do with either Carlisle the town, which is on the northern coast of France, or the Caldonians, who are all the way up in Scotland. Wrong town or wrong enemy?
