"Leonardo da Vinci - Two projects of carts heavily laden with scythes
Pen and brown watered-ink with traces of metallic point on faded white vertically laid paper, 21 x 29,2 cm.
    Turin, Royal Library

This belongs to a series of war cart projects found in Windsor, the British Museum and in the Atlantic Codex. The cruel details of mutilated limbs remind us that Leonardo observed these falcated carts as “often being more dangerous to friends than enemies”. Below both sketches are precise measurements for construction."
