"Look," exclaimed Voluptua to Vashti. "Aren't these exquisite?"

She picked up the intricately carved comb and peered at it closely.



"It's not ivory, although it seems to be carved in the same way of those items we get from Afrika. See?" she pointed to the finely spaced teeth, "you can see the striations from the metal file."



"They are beautiful, aren't they?" said Vashti, gently running her fingers over the carving. "Such unusual designs."

"Yes," agreed Voluptua, "I think I shall have to buy all of the them."
