Yes, both work are very important to Mexico's history and culture. Like you said, Rivera murals tell the stories of the Mexico's past: Quetzalcoatl. But Frida touched not only Mexico but the world. Rivera is most of time know as "the husband of Frida Kahlo who painted murals"... The "simple" work of her is so complex, a real twister of feelings. Sad, euphoric, melancholic... There's always a sparkle in each painting, an accepted desperation with a light of revolt. You travel in all her life trought her work and in her work trought her life.
