This is written by Rosalie David and is an excellent book to offer a general overview. I've found it very helpful as a first base orientation on a topic or for quick reference. It's surprisingly inexpensive.

It's put out by Oxford University Press, publ. 1998 - ISBN: 0 19 513215 7.
