"THE NORMANS" by Trevor Rowley, Charleston, South Carolina, Tempus Publishing, 2000, 192 pages, is an excellent book for anyone wanting a good overview of the Normans. It includes not only the Normans in Normandy and later in England, but also includes the Normans in Italy and the Crusades. It has many nice pictures of Norman buildings and castles, and also discusses Norman rulers such as William the Conqueror and Robert Guiscard. The book is available from Amazon.com at varying prices.
