    bottled mead ages no further once it has been bottled,as the yeast action is stopped at that point - but I've bought a number of bottles while in France and Italy,from people take 'made it at home' and neither had but in the chemical to stop the fermentation. The Frebch brew dint seem to age at all,while the Italian brew just kept getting better.

    so inconclusion ( ie before i go on ) it may be a brew that isnt 'cast conditioned' and may taste better with time ,Your Not going mad ,imho.
