Please forgive the unexpected long delay. I have been away in the Orient.

    My verdict is as follows:

In this day and age, there is enough evidence to convict Horemheb and there is enough evidence to convict Aye. But which one truly did it or was this just a simple accident?

I doubt whether this was a simple accident. The blow to the back of the head as seen in some of the xrays is very condemning. The person knew just how to hit him so it wouldn't be seen as murder.

No one expected the boy king to die. His tomb and everything else in it (apart from his childhood things) were someone elses (the canopic jars, his sarcophegus, his other "belongings").

Everything was done in a hurry to get rid of him. With all the other Pharoahs, the funerary rites would have been observed to the letter. This was not done with Tut. Aye was crowned way before all the days had passed.

The walls speak from so long ago. Here is Aye at the opening of the mouth ceremony and being pictured as a king. A kingship which should not have happened yet until the previous king was buried and sealed in his tomb. Certainly very suspect....

A foreign prince coming to take over the throne. Most Egyptians would rather die than see an enemy on the throne.

In a political situation, the kings advisors would have more "power" than the general of the army. Aye as his principal advisor would almost be his second in charge. Being second in charge was probably not enough for Aye. The top job was all he wanted.

Whilst I am rehashing some of the evidence already presented, I fethat it's necessary in reaching my verdict.

My verdict is, that Tut was most definitely murdered and the murderer is Aye.

    The court is adjourned!
