Since this is an open thread, it will be detrimental that all posts are open and honest, except when we decide to go covert and Vic decides to return to her Nava-Ho roots to trick Herr Aklia.
First order of business: Careful reflection on the current code of conduct. If studied carefully, not only will we be able to ignore what they say in the Curia, but we can ensure that they stay isolated in their own little corner of Ancient Worlds, or better yet, find another place to strongarm on the internet.
AncientWorlds is a privately owned and operated online community, created with the intention of providing a fun, informative, and safe discussion forum and is in no way affiliated with any previous or current sites offering the same features, unless specifically indicated. AncientWorlds values freedom of expression on the Site, but not at the expense of others. While you are at the Site and engaged in any form of communication, you agree to:
- NOT Inhibit other users from using and enjoying the Site and Services.
- NOT Post or transmit any fraudulent, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, overtly sexual or otherwise objectionable, off-topic or personally harmful information of any kind.
- NOT Post materials in violation of another party's copyright or other intellectual property rights.
- NOT Promote illegal activities.
- NOT Make any posts that could be construed as spamming or flaming posts. Spamming or flaming will not be tolerated and could constitute immediate removal from AncientWorlds. The Administrators of AncientWorlds define spamming as repeatedly posting the same post or posts with similar content. Spamming includes, without limitation, 3+ solicitations to members in a 3 month period, whether to join specific groups, buy products, or any other messages which may be considered as advertisements of a group or product, after the member has indicated in writing that they do not desire same. Flaming is defined as any type of post worded in such a manner as to provoke a heated response from one or more individuals or posted with the intention of creating such a response.
- NOT Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
- NOT Promote violence.
- NOT Kill or cause long term harm to another person's character within a roleplay storyline without express written permission from the "hands behind" the character being killed or harmed.
- NOT Engage in any activities that could be construed as invasive acts of any member's privacy. Such activities could result in suspension from the site or a permanent ban.
- Group leaders have the editing capabilities within their own groups. However, they should NOT edit, change or delete another's post, topic or work without express permission. If the post or topic contains what may be Code of Conduct violation, they should contact a scribe or demigod immediately.
Now there certainly are quite a few NOTs on that Code of Conduct. I say we change the wording to Do rather than NOT.
I think this will help people to:
- DO promote love of other users so they continue using and enjoying the Site and Services.
This is a start. Anyone else have any comments on this issue?
