Yohsitomo and his thief, Shiba, cross the Suruga-Kai border without incident. There they greet a swelling army. The teeming camps are a clamor of activity. Yoshitomo asks to be led to Lord Takeda, so that he may report of what he has seen in Totomi and Suruga.
The ashigaru gaurd refuses, and suggests that Yoshitomo give the information to him so that he may then report it.
Yoshitomo refuses and seats himself in the kneeling seika position, and says he will not move until he has seen Lord Takeda. The gaurd attempts to move him by force but is quickly struck to the ground by the dull edge of a sheathed sword.
And there Yohsitomo awaits his master.
