WHAT a fun post about the development of the English language. It makes as much sense as anything else I've read...

Just as a heads up, as ya'll know, we'll be implementing 'regions' in the next few months. Londinium, and Britannia, will become a community here at AW as a province of the Roman World. In so doing, we'll have a 'city' page for Londiniuim and Eboracum (perhaps more, later) and we're all doing research like mad to find the historical names of streets and to do research about these cities, their Romano-British development, maps, graphics, the lot. "Britannia" will (of course!) be the featured group for the provincial and city pages.

It would be a great help to Yours Truly if a few experts might be willing to put some time into helping with the research. I can't bribe, other than virtually. Any volunteers, please contact the undersigned and post your availability here! (free virtual beer as much as you want - urgh).
