The Long and the Short of It
The saga is Icelandic prose,
A narrative about heroes.
Recounting tales of exploits bold,
The skalds remembered days of old.
They kept alive their history
And passed it on to you and me.
This verse is rather short in length
But story-telling is its strength.
As sagas go, it's far too brief,
But Senex ends to your relief.
