    The Albgensians and the Cathars were not early Christian heretic sects as previously posted. They lived in southern France during the 12th Century.

    Likewise, the Bogomils were a radical gnostic Christian sect that were relocated to Bulgaria by emperor John Ziniisces during the 10th Century, several centuries after the early period of Christian history.
