    And in a low voice that somehow seems to reach the corners of the vast Hall she says, "Another translation would be:"

    "Of steel sets this gold coil,
    This ring, on my right arm
    Where falcons have rested;

    The gift hangs glowing,
    My arm its gallows:
    Honour was earned
    By the feaster of eagles."

    She turns and bows to the astounded Jarl and the dark warrior.
