I am Tokugawa Kiyoyasu of Mikawa province in Chubu. I am 29 years old, and my father has just died, leaving me as Ryoshu of Mikawa.

But we are threatened by neighbouring powerful families, such as the Imagawa and the Oda. It will take much wisdom to rule well.

I have a wife and a four year old son, Hirotada, of whom I have great hopes. Maybe one day he can lead our family into greatness.
