    It seems that I have not been the first to note this resemblance of the Spartan society to the pack of wolves,but so had Cartledge,whose book 'The Spartans' I just read.In the last paragraph of his appendix he makes a small note on that resemblance and holds a coinciding view of Crypteia and the ways of the wolf mentioned in the previous post by me.I frankly did not know about his remark;it seems we reached a similar thought(though Cartledge does not elaborate on this)through parallel courses.
