Yes folks, the trusty (crusty?) Egyptian scribes are offering a prize for the winning participant of the 3 activities spread over the two days. More on that later (see base of page)...

    A Day in the Life
    April 18 - 3.30pm EST/AW time

Follow Nebet Meshanefer, an ordinary ancient Egyptian, through a not- so-ordinary day. You'll see how she lives and handles crises. On the way you'll answer questions, based both on ancient Egyptian knowledge, and on her life, which you must pause to read along your journey. The most correct answers win (within a certain time frame) with speed simply the tie-breaking factor.

    Racing the Djet Pillar
    Sunday April 18th, 6pm EST/18:00 AW

It's that time again, time for Pharaoh to prove he's still got what it takes to beat those Hitites into submission, it's time for the Heb Sed Festival. So you think he's pounchy huh? Been eating too many honey cakes? Pharaoh challenges all people of the Ancient World to try to beat him to the djet pillar...if you dare!

    Malkata Palace Scavenger Hunt
    April 19 - 8.00pm EST/AW time

Malkata ('the place of debris') is the Arabic name for the site of Amenhotep III's New Kingdom palace on the West bank of the Nile at Thebes (Waset). Covering 30 hectares, it incorporated four palaces, numerous villas for officials and courtiers, the Temple of Amun, kitchens and other buildings. The old palace complex will be the location for the hunt.

The task for players is to recover 7 objects that are buried throughout the buildings and grounds. Come prepared with e-sunscreen and fly repellent ;)

Touring the Great Temples ~ Luxor
    To run throughout April 18 & 19

Tchgt Nfrt Tours presents the Great Temples of the Ancient Worlds Series. Our tours take you through the most magnificent monuments ever raised to the gods. Relax aboard one of Pharaoh's own celestial class Nile barges for the journey between monuments. See areas no outsider has ever been privileged to see. Join us as we explore the temples of Waset ~ next stop: Luxor!

Rules and Conditions for the Prize

There will be a prize awarded to the participant who collects the most points over the two day Egyptian festival. Points are awarded to those who finish in the quickest times in each activity. Each activity has 15 points to be won. This breaks down per activity to:

    1st: 15 points
    2nd: 12 points
    3rd: 9 points
    4th: 6 points
    5th: 3 points

Each contest comes to an end when the 5th contestant completes the set course.

All thereafter get 1 point for participating which means they still have something to add to their Egypt festival tally - an incentive if participants want join in in each event ;)

All AW citizens are encouraged to try their hand and pit their best efforts against their fellow players.

And may the best player win!!!
