I think Sankhkare is the best person to answer this. In the mean time, this is an except from a book "How to read Egyptian Heiroglyphs" by Mark Collier/Bill Manley:
"Heiroglyphs are not arranged one after the other as in our own alphabetic system, but in balanced groups or 'blocks' arranged to fill the available space. In particular, some signs are placed over others in order to fill the space in a more pleasing manner."
"The rule for such arrangements is quite simple: when you meet a block of heiroglyphs, read the top one(s) before the bottom one(s) and then carry on as normal."
Read into the front or faces of the various signs, and from above to below.
So I guess the name of Ra and Isis should be in a "block" and the other sayings should be in their own "block". I also happened to notice that the snake was facing to the right so this saying should be read from right to left?
Any other thoughts on this Sank?
