Just to add a smidgeon to the already great information that Yolihuani has provided, Toci was often depicted with black facial markings and a cotton-spool headdress similar to that worn by the goddesses Tlazol, Teotl and Tlaelquani.
In addition to all her other associations, Toci was also associated with war. According to legend, when the Aztecs were offered the daughter of the ruler of Culhuacan in a marriage alliance, they sacrificed the girl to their war god Huitzilopochtli, and flayed her as Toci. As a result of these actions, they incurred the wrath of Culhua who banished them to the marshes of the western lake shores. :o)
