I was rather a newbie when the old Ancient Sites went down (that lil green star gives it away...), but I suspect that re-grouping takes time. I always planned to wander through both Babylon and Egypt. Back then, my main interest was going to be roleplay; I'm not so sure that holds true for me now -- although who knows?
I'm not on a whole lot yet, but reading this discussion I see that a lot of good points have been raised, and building back up takes time and patience; you know, I think I'll stick around. I guess historically I'm most interested in the Old Kingdom, which I believe is when the pyramids were constructed. Also in the trade routes, to places like, um, Babylon. :) And in the incredible Egyptian art.
Just my thoughts; I'm a mellow kinda guy, and wouldn't mind taking up a broom, too, like someone else posted earlier. I understand that the ancient Egyptians pretty much stuck with their own kind, but if the modern ancients will take in a Babylonian?
