GYGES_ finds a ring of magical power. The ring causes its wearer to be invisible. Gyges uses the ring to enter the palace, seduce the queen, and kill the king. The question is, should one be a moral person even if one has the power to be immoral with impunity? Does immense power destroy the need to be a moral person?
