I feel it would depend on how moral the person is to begin with. With 20/20 hindsight, the power of the ring is known and feared, and therefore dealt with. Gandalf refused to have it in his possession. Boromir sees possessing it as a good thing to do. Tom Bombadil easily handles it, plays with it, and gives it back. Frodo takes it to the edge of its destruction, but the ring is finally destroyed by accident.
I must give it somemore thought. In the end, I feel a truly moral person would have no fear of the Ring because good is stronger than evil, rumour has it. Therefore, would have no need of it because it comes from evil.
