Though not an Egyptian, I would like to add to this thread as well.
Azure Eyes made a point. A good one.

At AS we've seen glory. We've seen miracles worked. People getting research together and parse it in understandable, sometimes funny ways. There were glorious tales spun out with craft and relations forged.

I can understand your wariness and concern, I feel some of it too. A sense that the rivalry is back to.

However, don't let your hopes down. AS was huge. AW is just starting out. We're making do with a fraction of the members that AS had in it's glory days. No wonder the number of milestones and epic feats are lesser. But we'll get there.

On the other side, AW is starting out again. Time has passed, people need to readjust. People have to make themselves aqcuainted again. Start ups always bring some stress, some rivalry and some irritation with it. Perhaps I'm guilty of it too, judging too fast and too harshly. But we'll get there.

We'll get there AzureEyes, we'll get there, don't you worry. Just let it grow, for beauty needs its time to be forged, molded and polished, to outshine and diminish all that stands in its way.

Given time, and energy of those devoted to that beauty, even AS will diminish and dwindle in the shining presence of AW, as long as everyone is commited to bring it that far, and not lets his/her hopes get down too soon.
