Some in Gaul rejoice at Caesar's demise-- even some of the Aedui, we who invited Caesar and Rome into Gaul to help crush our enemies. Caesar did defeat Ariovistus and the Sequanni, sworn enemies of the Aedui. Caesar still overran our oppidum and captured Vercingetorix of the Averni at Alesia. It is a false hope that Gaul will ever be free of Rome's rule. Maybe, just maybe, Bibracte can return to normal, even though it seems little will change with Caesar's death.
