    Maybe not for the Incans amongst us, but if the occupations list is to cover the Americas as a whole, scribes have to be included! We Aztecs certainly have scribes (and LOTS of them too! the administration of Tenochtitlán and its foreign provinces requires a great deal of paperwork!! *g*) and also mapmakers. The Maya kings also had their official scribes who were considered important to the kings' power.
