I agree with that! Especially in The Count of Monte Cristo! But what really bothers me when the author - for example Zane Grey - spends three or four pages describing one acre of land. All about the color of the trees, the smell of the evergreens, and every single bush's texture, then when you get to the characters he writes " ...the tall man..." and that is all you get about the main character besides his name. Just thought I would share that with all you wonderful people. What a great topic!
