I know that one day, AW Egypt will come out from whatever this... oppressive force is... and become what it deserves to be~ a thriving area reminiscent of the grand society for which it was built to emulate.
When I joined AW, things were looking up. We had a small number of very able bodied Egyptophiles who were willing to put the past behind them and create something grand. But old politics soon took over, once again dividing us. Any mention of different ideas was thwarted or teased. If certain folks voiced their opinions, a slew of minions would charge in, from out of nowhere, and threaten to out-vote them. Once their mission was accomplished, they would once again fade into the woodwork (go back to "their" site, whatever). Few have been back since they carried out their mission.
Some people left altogether, and I can't say I blame them. I posted about it back then, but one soul I defended was not pleased at my defense of them. So, not sure what to do, I stuck it out here, but now find myself at a loss. Look at our Egypt!
After a time of watching the chips fall in one spot, I can't say that I am proud of AW Egypt... or my part in it (or lack thereof). A few of us have just been hanging around the bar, waiting for something, anything, to happen. I was awfully proud during the torch lighting. We were "one" then. Yes, we had our past rivalries to contend with, but then, it was not an issue. We were "home again". Soon after the opening ceremonies, the same old - same old started up again.
Egypt, I ask of you. What is going on here? What are you willing to do for your homeland?
Those of you with more experience...
I would write the ten-thousandth essay on the Great Pyramids, post my more respectable works, make suggestions and volunteer what time I do have, if I knew that those original hard workers would come back, offer something constructive, and those remaining here would not trash their ideas.
I speak now directly to those of us who were hurt, and those who did (and continue to do) the power games. If you want AW Egypt shine, it is time to bury the hatchet. If you don't want AW Egypt to shine, then..
Get the H outta here and go back to Pan!
There. I said it. Whatever.
Now, I urge any Dei with Egypian personae, or those of you who have not used your Egyptian characters, to please come home to Mama and built an Egypt to be proud of... peacefully.
