Lurcio get ready to depart for the villa, and start preparations for a journey to Gaul, Lugdunum to be precise.

"You're going to Gaul? What about the shop?" Hypatia jumped up and confronted Vincent speaking in Greek. "Who's going to look after the shop?"

Vincent looked at her with a questioning look. "You dont speak Latin and you're too slow with your copying."

"I have finished the copying, and I was slow precisely because my Latin is not so good. How else am I going to improve if I am not given a chance?" Hypatia demanded. "I am not planning on returning to Athens anytime soon. I will tell my father so when he arrives here. I want to stay here in Pompeii".

"You want to be in charge of this shop until I get back?" Vincent asked.

"Yes. You need me. I saw a lady come in here, a short time ago and ask for a copy of the laws of this country. She wanted them as soon as possible. Your servant has not yet mentioned her to you." Hypatia waved a hand at Lurcio.

Vincent thought about this situation he was in, and came to a decision.
