    (the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, a modern version of the Villa of the Papyri at Herculaneum! can you imagine??)


    I found out interesting to know that Caesar's father-in-law owned The Villa of the Papyri. It was something like, oh, gee, I know someone (Caesar *S*) who knew him! also, I was curious to know that the main collection of scrolls are about epicurean philosophy, specially Philodemus of Gadara, who came to Italia around 80 B.C.


    Here you can see how the rolls looked like.. before unrolling, they were carbonized, imagine how difficult it was to deal with them!
