I just discovered this site yesterday and it was like coming home. I am Bill Blank and my web site is http://www.kernunnos.com.
My primary interest is Continental Celtic studies, primarily archeological and numismatic, but I also dabble in linguists.
I quickly figured out that to understand the pre-Chriatian Celts, I would have to study the Greeks and Romans as well as the pre-Christian Germans. Essentially one cannot understand the ancient Celts without also understanding their neighbors.
In my studies of Rome I became interested in Hadrian and Elagabalus and have some numismatic pages on these emperors. I have come to the conclusion that Elagabalus was given an undeserved bad name by 'historians', especially in the "Historia Augusta" which, IMO is nearly useless except for the 12 Caesars.
I hope to learn from scholars here and hope my ideas will be helpful to some.
Regards,
Bill Blank
