    Awesome post. Very informative. So the Stoors were hobbits, in a way at least? Peter Jackson obviously thought so as Deagol and Smeagol looked very much like hobbits. It is interesting to know that Smeagol's family or people I should say did not long survive his transformation. Did you get this information from the books?
