Good post Harald on the Keynes bibliography. I have been looking at it in anticipation of a possible college paper. I do not know if I want to go with Norman England or Saxon England. Choices, choices, choices. Anyways I was reading the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, a document that I have to sadly admit to never reading before. Why is the author so quiet on the climatic year of 1066? He just glosses over events in a very short paragraph? The Battle of Hastings is not even mentioned. Was the author embarressed that the Saxons lost?
