Oh My! What have we gotten ourselves into here. We will never decide which language to put such a name into you know.
If we fallow the legends of these people we only wind up with greater problems. It is said that from the Danube the Gaels went East, while the Gauls went West. It is not even for sure that all of Gaul spoke the newer P-Celtic rather then the older Q-Celtic of which Gaelic belongs. I even remember something of the Helvetii being given as example or the Q-Celtic, but they were in the now Swiss Alps.
The Gaels say they arrived in Spain from Asia Minor or even Egypt which means that they spoke the Eastern Q-Celtic in the far West.
I do recommend something more akin to “Distant Homelands” or “Heartlands” and not something tied into Gaul in any way, as “Continental” may imply. The tribes and families we have are one Iberian-Celt, one Thracian-Celt, one Galatian, and one from the true “Hartland” of the Danube bastion. Most if not all would be *IMHO* Gaelic speakers, but be that as it may, it should more reflect there belonging to the Ancient Homeland of us all. These are the most senior members of our family not Jonny-come-lately tribes on a scattered fringe.
