and while everyone's at it... it should be noted that the tribes of what is now modern day England, Wales, and Cornwall were also not Gaelic speaking.
Their language was Brythonic, which is today found only in Breton and Wales.
If one is to choose a name for this particular neighborhood, it would make sense to choose something either from the Welsh or Breton.
